Artemis II has launched!

NASA’s Space Launch System rocket launches carrying the Orion spacecraft with NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, commander; Victor Glover, pilot; Christina Koch, mission specialist; and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Jeremy Hansen, mission specialist on NASA’s Artemis II mission, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from Operations and Support Building II at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Added on March 13, 2026: The last space shuttle mission was STS-135 launched on July 8, 2011. This article from 2005 was overly optimistic about the space program. But Artemis II may get into lunar orbit next month. Artemis III and Artemis IV will hopefully follow in 2027 and 2028.…
