Here is an interesting article about the past, present, and future. Nice to see a mention of Vannevar Bush in there. I suspect that might be due to the influence of Michele McGinnis, Research Librarian to the author of the article, Kevin Kelly. Michelle is also a fellow UT SIS alumni.

Talk Show Feng Shui – Is anyone else freaked out by The Daily Show’ s new studio set?
Via Jason’s comment (Thanks Steinle) I found out that South Knox Bubba is no longer blogging. So R.I.P. SKB and the Rocky Top Brigrade, you’ll be missed.
Say Uncle has a few more details.
Update: The Rocky Top Bridage has survived the end of SKB.
CNN.com – James Doohan, ‘Star Trek’s’ Scotty, dead
Makes me think of Scotty playing the bagpipes at Spock’s funeral in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan 🙁
I saw this over at Eileen’s blog and thought it would be fun. How did the survey know that I’m small, green and talk in interesting ways? Yoda I am… yes mmm
I promise I’ll get back to library and IT posts eventually:-) but in the meantime…..cold fusion!

I found the The Commonly Confused Words Test via Neil’s World. It looked interesting so I gave it a shot. Here’s how I did:
Advanced
You scored 100% Beginner, 86% Intermediate, 87% Advanced, and 55% Expert!
You have an extremely good understanding of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of each of these three levels’ questions correct. This is an exceptional score. Remember, these are commonly confused English words, which means most people don’t use them properly. You got an extremely respectable score.
A partial answer key can be found here.
Be afraid. You know that there is lots of information floating around out there about you. The scary thing is when somebody puts all the information in one place.
