Well I stayed up until about 5 am this morning. At that point most everybody was calling Ohio in favor of Bush. Now, it looks like Ohio, New Mexico, and Iowa are too close to call. The current count is 254 votes Bush, 252 votes Kerry. Whoever wins Ohio and its 20 electoral votes wins the election. Bush leads the popular vote by 136,22 so it looks like Bush will win. However, no offical statements have been made at this point.
I hope Kerry will win, but that looks unlikely.
Update: According to CNN as well as local Boston TV station WCVB, Kerry conceded around 10 am this morning and will make a speech at 1 pm in Boston.
I knew that the cabin from the Evil Dead movies (Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and ED 3: Army of Darkness) was around Morristown, Tennessee. But I’d never seen any stories written on it. Now the Metropulse has one. It’s a very interesting story about the truth and stories about the cabin.
I ran across Cats are Democrats/Dogs are Republicans via Librarian’s Rant. Pretty funny, but I think it’s unfair to the poor dogs.
I got America: The Book for my bithday (thanks Kathy). Great book, it would have made goverment class in hign school more interesting. Apparently the book is inappropriate for Wal-Mart stores. They didn’t like the naked Supreme Court justices. I thought that was one of the funniest pages of the book.

Travis got voted out of Survivor: Vanuatu last night. The article in the Johnson City Press doesn’t say much. He just had some bad luck when the tribes got redistributed and it was either him or Rory.

I knew Farscape star Ben Browder was born in Memphis. But according to the Knoxville News Sentinel, Browder lived in Knoxville for a while and is a big Volunteer fan. I knew I liked that guy.
